Martini

martinipregannouncement.JPG

Surprise!!!!  Suspicions soared when Martini's ever-expanding belly continued to grow despite our best dietary restrictions.  A quick blood test and one ultrasound later, and we now have a baby on the way!!!!  Martini is now free to eat to her hearts content!  Estimated due date is for October, but since martini was new Holland rescue we have no idea who the potential father is, or when the baby is truly expected.  please keep posted, we'll be sure to have lots of updates, and possibly a Foal-Cam!

It appears that Martini probably knows how to drive and definitely knows how to ride. However, she is not your typical "plug" type of draft. She's more likely to jig than walk and she's very sensitive to her rider's cues, even if the rider doesn't realize he or she is sending any! As such, she requires a more experienced and careful rider than the average beginner. Below, you can see video of her first ride at Gentle Giants.

Martini will continue in light training until September, or when she becomes too uncomfortable for work.  She will not be available for adoption until she is foaled and weaned.
