Stalin's riding is progressing very nicely, and it was a pleasant surprise to find he has very smooth and comfortable gaits. Originally a show driving horse, he also drives beautifully.
Stalin has a heart of gold and there is a great partner in there, but he still needs to conquer some remaining fear issues. He is very fearful of having his hooves handled, and he is absolutely terrified of shots!!! We are currently working on building his trust and teaching him it's ok to be afraid sometimes, but he has to keep his apprehension in check and still behave.

Stalin was a stellar performer at our local public education event at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. He was spectacular with crowds, noises, traffic, and general chaos! His handsome good looks and broad chest made him a crowd favorite.
We had held concerns that he might be "standoffish" to the crowds, as he tends to get attached to only "his" people. He jumped right in and was happy to greet everyone! Also riding very quiet on group trail rides on and off the farm!
